Childcare

In the classroom

Want to work with young children? Come and train with us in a supportive environment, with friendly, professional staff, and make this your career!

Childcare learners at Camden Jobtrain are gaining the necessary skills and qualifications to work with children under 8 years old, and a knowledge of children’s care, learning and development to 16 years.

We aim to give the learner the start needed to progress to further education or to gain employment in a childcare setting, e.g. day nursery, playgroup or crèche. The learners here in the childcare section are working towards nationally recognised qualifications.

On the E2E programme the learners are working towards the CCCLD qualification which is the Certificate in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. This is a 4 unit qualification at level 2 and is the technical certificate for the apprenticeship in Early Years.

Learners also have the opportunity to attend a 3 week block work placement, with a placement mentor. They can also have

  • Qualifications in Maths, English and ICT.
  • Support for personal issues which may be affecting your training.
  • Qualification in Personal Development and Employability Skills.
  • Dyslexia Support
